Senior Health Clinics are suitable for healthy senior cats and dogs seen by a vet in the last 12 months – If you are concerned that your pet is showing signs or illness or abnormal behaviour please see the vet in the first instance

Senior pets are:

• Cats over 10 years old
• Dogs over 7 years old
• Giant breeds of dog (Great Dane, Mastiff, St. Bernard, etc.) over 5 years

A physical exam, a weight check, a clinical history, a blood pressure check, and a blood and urine test which can check the following:

• kidney disease
• liver disease
• diabetes
• high blood pressure
• overactive thyroid (cats only)

• It is ideal if pets are fasted for 12 hours before their appointment (Please allow water but no food)
• A fresh urine sample should be brought to the appointment in a clean container. For advice on collecting urine samples, please contact your practice.
• Please fill in the Senior Health Check questionnaire which a member of our Reception team can send you upon booking, alternatively please find a link to the form below which you can send us via email
• The person bringing your pet to the appointment should be familiar with their health status, habits, and routines.

Senior Health Check appointments take approx 20-25 mins and the cost is £85.

Results will be available within 7 days
